Analysis of heat aging resistance of butyl rubber with butyl

Butyl rubber is famous for its heat-resistant and oxygen aging. Due to the low degree of unsaturation of IIR and the inactive polyisobutylene chain, IIR itself has excellent heat-resistant and aging properties. However, the requirements for IIR are not only that, but also need to further improve its heat-resistant properties, so as to meet the requirements of vulcanization capsule, cable sleeve, tread and resistance Hot rubber ring and other heat-resistant rubber materials.

Before that, some researchers improved the heat-resistant properties of butyl rubber. They concluded that: the resin curing system is superior to sulfur curing system. When the resin content is 5 to 10 phr, the butyl rubber vulcanizate has relatively high mechanical property retention rate. When the zinc oxide content in the rubber reaches 5 phr, the heat-resistant aging properties of the vulcanizate are relatively good In the concentrated operating oil studied, castor oil butyl rubber has good heat-resistant aging performance. The influence of different curing systems and other formula factors on the heat-resistant aging performance of IIR vulcanizate was studied. The results showed that the performance retention rate of IIR vulcanized by butyl rubber was higher than that vulcanized by sulfur donor after 160 ℃ for 24h, and the resin dosage was 5-1 The IIR vulcanizates with 0 phr have relatively high mechanical retention, and different resins have different effects on the aging resistance of IIR. When the zinc oxide content in the compound reaches 5 phr, the aging resistance of the vulcanizates is relatively good. We introduced the physical and mechanical properties of different resin vulcanized butyl rubber and the physical mechanism of tert butyl phenol resin vulcanized butyl rubber with different softening points Mechanical properties, research surface, in order to obtain good curing effect, the resin should contain a certain amount of hydroxymethyl and ether bond structure, and the resin should be oil-soluble. When the content of hydroxymethyl is less than 3%, there will be no curing effect.
